Now What?

After 10 years of Audioburn (yeah: TEN years!), Doug Russell has informed us that he will no longer be playing with us. This is due to several reasons, but mostly his shifting interests and priorities from those of band practice and gigs to those of family and kids... A shift that is not begrudged by the rest of us.

We`re sorry to see Doug go, especially me. I`ve been with the band for going on 7 years now, and although I`ve never been deluded about the shelf-life of a cover-band, it`s still tough when a long-time member packs it in.

As far as what this means for Audioburn, we haven`t figured that out yet... Either we`ll end up with a new drummer, or we`ll just split up and pursue different projects... Either way, Audioburn will never be the same without the drummer boy from Illinois who went crash boom bang!

Doug still has plans to play music, but it won`t be in an official capacity for any particular band. We wish you the best Doug, and please let us know when you DO play out so we can come see ya!
